The 2016/2017 season at Hackney Bulls kicks off this Sunday (September 4) with training for all age groups and the Belles at Springhill – 10am start.
All teams will be training on or around the pitches on the clubhouse side of the road – i.e. not in the park. Please be aware that there is a rowing regatta also taking place on Sunday, so parking will be very tight.
The clubhouse will be open throughout the morning, offering up bacon sandwiches and other snacks along with tea and coffee. Kit will also be on sale.
Registration forms for the new season can be downloaded here – parents/carers/players will need to fill in all of the forms. It’s easier if you fill them in beforehand and bring them with you to the registration tent outside the clubhouse on Sunday - spare forms will be also available on Sunday or you can also download them via the website.
Every child who plays for the club needs to be registered with the club, regardless of whether they have paid fees or not. Any questions, please speak with your coach or our new registration secretary Noelia via email@example.com.
Fees for the season remain at £100 for the season, with £70 for any subsequent child. Bursaries are available – please speak with your coach or our safeguarding officer Mary Impey via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bank transfers can be made using your child’s surname and age group as a reference - e.g. SMITH U7. Please note that the club has a new bank account this season:
Barclays Bank plc
Sort code 20-44-91
Account number 50389471
We also accept cash and cheques, which should be made out to either “Hackney Bulls” or “Hackney Rugby Football Club Limited”.
If anyone can volunteer their services to help out with registration over the next few Sundays, please get in touch with Noelia or Mary. Alternatively, turn up at the clubhouse at 9.30am on the day.
We are delighted to welcome several new faces to the club for the upcoming season. Full details of the lead coach for each year can be found below.
We always have plenty of room for an aspiring Eddie Jones, so if you would like to help out with coaching, please contact head coach Milton Stephens.

Age Grade Rugby
This season also sees the implementation of the RFU’s Age Grade Rugby programme, which means several important rule changes across the age groups. Click here for a flyer outlining the new rules and guidelines - alternatively speak to your child’s coach or access the rules via the individual team pages on the club website.
Club development workshop
We are hosting a club development workshop with the RFU on the evening of Tuesday, September 27 at a venue to be confirmed somewhere in Hackney.
This will be an ideal opportunity for anyone with an interest in finding out about how the club works and thinking of volunteering in any capacity. Further details will be released nearer the time.
