Celebrate women’s and girls’ rugby with us! We have the Women’s Rugby World Cup visiting Petchey Academy on Tuesday along with International players and coaches.
We are especially pleased to have Helen Clayton as our guest of honour. Not only does she have 88 International caps to her name, including one for the 2006 WRWC final, but she used to coach the Belles!
All girls and their parents are invited to the reception with our guests who include local councillors, funders and a local MP. There will be refreshments and a chance to find out about women’s rugby from those who play it. We would be very happy to see anyone interested in taking up the sport so please share this invitation.
For girls aged 12 and up there is a coaching session led by international coaches - this is open to all not just the Belles but we have a restricted number of coaching places, please arrive early for registration. The coaching session will be outside please wrap up in layers and bring spare clothes to change into if it is wet, which it won't be!
